Pastoral Light offers a vibrant, contemporary reimagining of the rural landscape, blending the timeless tranquility of nature with the bold energy of modern abstraction. Influenced by 19th-century masters such as Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot and Thomas Cole, Faulkner interprets their classical traditions through a dynamic, abstract sensibility evocative of the more contemporary approaches of Wolf Kahn and Richard Diebenkorn. By blending these influences with his own artistic vision, Faulkner’s newest series of “light paintings” explores a fresh take on this historic genre.
