Realms: Fernando Reyes

Pamela Walsh Gallery is pleased to present REALMS, a solo exhibition featuring the new works of Fernando Reyes. The show will open on May 6th with an Artist Reception from 4-6pm. Join us for an Artist Talk at 4:30pm to hear Fernando speak about his artistic practice and newest works. The exhibition will be on view until June 7th, 2023.

REALMS showcases Reyes' exceptional ability to explore his visual language through a wide range of artistic mediums including paintings, drawings, printmaking, and sculpture. His oeuvre spans various themes, from representational to pure abstraction, offering a unique perspective on the world around us. His academic training is evident in his figurative paintings, where his skill in rendering the human form shines through. His abstract compositions are delightful visual puzzles which include paper cutouts made from woodcuts and monotypes printed in his studio. Reyes continues to expand his artistic horizons by incorporating innovative materials and techniques into his practice. The sculptures made of painted stainless steel and paper cutouts are his newest endeavor and show his daring approach to form and space. This collection is a testament to his enduring curiosity, which has led him on a journey through the various realms of his artistic expression.
