Danielle Eubank American, b. 1968
Danielle Eubank is a contemporary painter renowned for her unwavering dedication to capturing the essence of the world's oceans and waterways. For over two decades, her artistic journey has been a journey of exploration, both literal and metaphorical, delving into the depths of water's fluidity and abstraction. As an expedition artist, Danielle has traversed the seas, immersing herself in the mesmerizing movement and ever-shifting character of water. Her fascination with the nuances of water's behavior serves as the catalyst for a captivating exploration that blurs the boundaries between representation and abstraction.
With an MFA from UCLA's School of Arts, Danielle's artistic prowess is infused with a rich academic foundation, evident in the intricate compositions she creates. Each brushstroke reflects a relentless pursuit of novel colors and perspectives, inviting viewers to plunge into the depths of her canvases and experience the sensation. Through layered paint and bold strokes, she crafts a tactile and immersive experience, beckoning contemplation of the profound interplay of light, movement, and texture within water's realm. Danielle's artistic journey has been punctuated by notable achievements and accolades. She has an extensive portfolio as a commissioned artist, creating portraits for esteemed institutions such as Standard Chartered Bank and the Naval and Military Club in London. Her expertise and insights have been sought after at conferences and universities spanning the globe, including Japan, Korea, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Mexico, the United States, Spain, Syria, and Italy. From 2011 to 2014, Danielle undertook the prestigious task of capturing the essence of the Henley Royal Regatta in Henley-on-Thames, England, through her brushstrokes. In 2012, her artistic journey was immortalized in the documentary film "Mozambique VI," which premiered at the Newport Beach Film Festival. Recognized for her artistic excellence, Danielle was honored with the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant in 2014-15 and nominated for the Creative Climate Award in 2018. Her dedication to environmental advocacy was further acknowledged with the WCA/United Nations Program Honor Roll Award in 2019.
